Son, 

I hope you don't mind that I couldn't be with you on the first birthday in your life. I know your mother is with you and the whole family is so joyful for it. 

I can't help thinking that if only I could spend more time playing with you and hold you in my arms as all fathers do. Somehow, I will compensate that in one way or another. 

Son, you are the best gift that I was given in my entire life, and there is not a simple word could describe how much I love you. With your presence, I understand the whole world better. 

I'm deeply greatful to the person who took great pain bringing you to me, you mother, she has done a better parent job than I do. And for that, I'm a little rested that you won't miss much love and care. 

I also want to thank for your grandmas who have given you their unlimited love just like they gave to your mother and me when we were chirdren. It helps me to understand more about what the parental love means and how powerful it is. 

One day, I will leave you handle the world on your own, and from now to that day, I'll be always on duty around you and your mother, working hard to provide both of you a better living.
